As a valued member of the Network Planning team youll be empowered to deliver capacity plans for the Converged Core Platform. This responsibility includes creating and planning appropriate network solutions and proactively identifying and implementing process or automation improvements. Youll be empowered to drive the evolution of Network Planning across the CC Platform, improving and aligning planning processes and introducing automation in both Planning and E2E Planning and Build. This is an exciting role that will give you the opportunity to work with teams across BT and with our vendors/partners to improve how we plan and deliver our network evolution and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
* Seek continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities to automate, centralise, standardise, and simplify processes, owning the delivery of improvement projects and initiatives, and owning the planning process.
* Operate within an agile development environment.
* Use technical expertise to propose and validate planning processes, including development and proof of concept, utilising appropriate planning policy rules.
* Contribute to the development of guidelines and policies to manage network planning.
* Create and plan network solutions, utilising appropriate planning rules.
* Provide sound technical expertise to deliver timely responses to queries, identifying and mitigating operational risks as appropriate.

* Experience with BT’s 21st Century Network, Converged Core and IP Platforms.
* Experience with orchestration and automation.
* Experience with agile and waterfall development methods using JIRA and Kanban.
Desirable Skills / Experience
* Understanding of Converged Core platform/product architecture and service flow, and knowledge of how customers consume these products.
* Ability to use multiple planning tools and techniques to create capacity plans, provide provision activity across the Converged Core Platform, proactively identify service improvements, deliver problem‑management improvements and ultimately improve customer experience with improved MTTP.
* Product knowledge: understanding the products and services that BT provides and how customers utilise them.
* Tenacious problem‑solver: a desire to look across platforms and teams to ensure problems are resolved and re‑occurrence is prevented.
* Good knowledge and understanding of Nokia Service Router (SR), including call tracing and fault diagnostics.
* Good knowledge of BT Converged Core Platform and service interactions.
