Job Opportunity: Specialist SEND Tutors, Teaching Assistants & Early Years Practitioners
(Alternative Provision Placements – Poulton)
We are seeking specialist teachers, qualified teaching assistants, and early years practitioners to join our team in providing high-quality alternative provision support for pupils in EYFS and primary education, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
This role is focused on supporting children with mild moderate or profound needs, such as:
* Anxiety, ADHD, Autism
* Behavioural and SEMH needs
* Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Learning Disabilities
* Speech and Language Difficulties
* Hearing or Visual Impairments
* Down Syndrome
* Physical or Mobility Difficulties
The Role
* Deliver tailored 1:1 or small-group sessions for pupils, including those with EHCPs, ensuring learning is adapted to meet individual outcomes and targets.
* Provide structured support to help students manage behaviour, build confidence, and engage positively with learning.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit a wide range of abilities and needs.
* Foster a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive both academically and emotionally.
* Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

* Location: On-site in Poulton
* Contract type: Fixed-term (generally 6–8 weeks)
* Hours: Vary depending on placement needs

What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs, in a school, nursery, or alternative provision setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and families.
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability when supporting children with diverse needs.
* Relevant qualifications (QTS, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, or SEND training) are highly desirable.
* A proactive, child-centred approach to helping learners achieve their potential.
