Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive in their early years. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering the development of children through engaging activities and effective communication with both children and their families.
The candidate should have at least a Level 3 in childcare.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that promotes best practices in childcare.
* Ensure compliance with nursery policies, procedures, and relevant legislation regarding health and safety standards.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or events.
