Senior DBA
Location: Central London

Essential Job Functions:
1. Installing and configuring database binaries
2. Writing and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasks
3. Investigating and implementing automation of processes
4. Perform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoring
5. Troubleshoot database related issues
6. Perform patching and upgrades to ensure data security
7. Be able to work 5 days onsite in Central London
Desirable Skills and Technologies:
8. Administration experience in a database technology such as MongoDB, MySQL, etc
9. Experience of OS such as RHEL and Windows Server
10. Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS
11. Knowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and Nagios
12. Experience in scripting, such as Python
13. Knowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recovery
14. Experience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSets
15. Experience in backup/recovery procedures and scripting
Basic Qualifications:
16. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
17. Proven experience in infrastructure technology management
18. Proficiencies in project management and technical knowledge
19. A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
