Are you ready to make a difference in traffic engineering? We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Traffic Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic Traffic Engineering team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. In this exciting role, you’ll be instrumental in designing improvement schemes and supporting our mission to deliver successful traffic engineering solutions for North Northamptonshire and West Northamptonshire Councils.
Location & Hours
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire – office-based with agile working options available.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – enjoy some flexibility in your schedule; just let us know what works for you!

Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Traffic Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Traffic Engineering team to deliver effective design solutions focused on:
* Planning and implementing traffic engineering schemes within specifications and budgets.
* Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings.
* Preparing Bills of Quantities and essential project documentation.
* Collaborating with designers to develop innovative technical solutions.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil Engineering, with some experience in traffic engineering or highway design.
* Have a solid understanding of basic traffic/highway design principles.
* Are proficient in producing drawings with AutoCAD and familiar with software like Keysign and Keyline.
* Are aware of Health & Safety requirements, including CDM 2015.
