Bloomsbury Publishing has a bright, modern office just outside Oxford’s city centre. We are looking for a highly organised, capable and proactive office professional to spend four hours per day managing the day-to‑day running of our office space, which is home to around 30 staff Mondays through Thursdays.
* Facilities/building management; ensuring our office space is well maintained, outsourcing tasks where necessary (e.g. maintenance and cleaning contractors).
* Day‑to‑day office management, including switchboard calls, incoming deliveries, and security procedures.
* Managing the post room and courier services.
* Managing meeting rooms and coordinating facilities aspects for in‑house and external events.
* Help manage DSE Assessments for all UK Bloomsbury staff.
* Organise Fire Marshal and First Aid training for all UK Bloomsbury staff.

Skills, knowledge, experience
* Experience in a similar role (office administration or office management).
* A solutions‑focused approach to managing office space.
* Strong administrative skills and a high level of organisation.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and databases.
* Confidence in dealing with internal and external contacts, with the ability to work well with people and remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
Contract: Part‑time, 20 hours per week, fixed term. 4 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Location: Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford, OX2 9PH, UK.
