A vibrant school in Abingdon is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their well-resourced Creative Arts department. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach and nurture young artists across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience. This role is for September 2025.
Duties as Art Teacher:
1. Deliver imaginative and inspiring lessons in a range of media (drawing, painting, print, sculpture, digital, etc.)
2. Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression
3. Support students in developing strong technical and conceptual skills
4. Assess, track, and support progress in line with curriculum and exam board requirements
5. Contribute to school displays, art exhibitions, competitions, and enrichment clubs
6. Help foster a culture where the arts are celebrated and accessible to all
Ideal Art Teacher:
1. QTS and a degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject
2. A passion for art education and inspiring young people
3. Strong subject knowledge and practical expertise across multiple media
4. An inclusive approach to teaching and high expectations for all learners
5. Great communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills as an Art Teacher
6. (Desirable) Experience delivering GCSE or A-Level Art
