Were looking for a proactive, friendly and adaptable General Assistant to support our Catering, Housekeeping, Kitchen and Reception teams across the Cathedral Precincts.
What You'll Be Doing as a General Assistant
No two days are the same! You'll be:
* Supporting food & beverage service at events and in the kiosk
* Helping set up and clear down functions
* Keeping areas clean, tidy and welcoming
* Assisting in the kitchen with basic food prep and cleaning tasks
* Carrying out housekeeping duties across public areas
* Helping the Reception team with guest support and shift cover
* Covering Night Porter duties when required, ensuring guests safety, comfort and smooth overnight operations
* Ensuring a safe, positive environment for all visitors
What Were Looking For in a General Assistant
* Aged 18+
* Experience in a similar customer facing or hospitality role
* Confident using a till, with cash handling experience
* Smart, polite, organised and great with people
* Flexible and happy to work across different departments
* Enthusiasm for the mission and values of the Cathedral
Desirable: Food Hygiene Certificate or First Aid training.
