Job Title: Arborist – Machine Operative

Location: Area 3, Southwest - Curdridge

Salary: Hourly rate is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week consisting of day or night work with occasional weekend work included.

About the role of Arborist - Machine Operative

This role is exciting and will be varied throughout the year, depending on the season.

Responsibilities include:

13. Cyclical activities including grass cutting/Weed spraying- using tractors with front and side arm flails, remote control bank mowers, ride on mowers, specialist machinery such as reforms and barrier mowers, and of course brush cutters.
14. Tree and hedge work, hazardous tree removal, ADB, sign and CCTV clearance and hedgerow maintenance or reduction outside of bird nesting season – Mixture of methods using mechanical Arb, Mewp and Climbing
15. De-vegetation of ditches or other infrastructures, new structures and roads
16. Planting
17. Other ad-hoc tasks that helps our clients.

Arborist/Machine Operatives will work in a team under the guidance of a working supervisor to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.

What good looks like for a Arborist/Machine Operative

18. You do NOT need to be experienced in highways, although it would be beneficial.
19. Experience of using specialist plant and Machinery (MEWPS, Excavators, Tractors etc)
20. We would like you to have a basic understanding of health & safety
21. Physically able and the ability to pass or already hold a Safety Critical Medical
22. Full UK driving license with less than 6 points
23. Enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude

26. Lantra Tractor Driving
27. Lantra Arm Mounted Cutting Equipment / Flail
28. Lantra Brush Cutter / Strimmer
29. NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A
30. NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b, CS38 & CS39
31. NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS47
32. NPTC Brushwood Chippers
33. IPAF – MEWPS
34. NPROS Operator 360 upto 10t
35. Towing experience
36. HGV Class 2
