Accounts Assistant Location: Walsall Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Competitive Salary Benefits The Role Our well established client based in Walsall are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the financial arm of the business runs smoothly. Experience working for a professional services company such as legal, accounting, finance, management consulting and other specialist advisory services is essential. Youll support daily finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of payments, receipts, reports, and client account information. The position also involves supporting wider team tasks during absence and undertaking additional duties as required by management. Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities Process receipts (in person and by phone) and issue confirmations Allocate payments and update ledgers Prepare and complete daily banking Produce weekly reports on new matters opened Prepare Priority/BACS payments Manage cheque requests via internal systems Check and process invoices, statements, and payment runs Provide cover for team members when needed About You 23 years experience in a similar role within the Legal Sector or working for a professional services company such as accounting, finance, management consulting and other specialist advisory services. Strong understanding of financial procedures and compliance rules Excellent communication and organisational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Confident with Excel and general IT systems Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
