We have roles available in Bolton and Bury, with both full-time and part-time options to suit your schedule.
In this role, you'll work with students facing challenges such as autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. It requires patience, empathy, and creativity, but it's deeply rewarding. You'll support these young people to engage with learning, develop social and emotional skills, and succeed in meaningful ways.
This position is ideal for psychology graduates seeking practical experience before pursuing careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, therapy, or social work.
What the role involves:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom
2. Assisting in developing and implementing individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
3. Building trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported
4. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff
What we're looking for:
* A degree in psychology or a related field, or current study towards one
* Genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
* A calm, adaptable approach to challenges
* No prior experience required; full training and support provided

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for future permanence.
