Area Sales Manager – Rental
Finning Power Rental is one of the world’s leading providers of custom rental power solutions, offering a wide range of equipment from power generators to transformers. We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Area Sales Manager to drive our solutions into current and potential customers.
Responsibilities
* Generate high-quality sales leads, identify customer requirements and win new customers while nurturing existing client relationships, focusing 70% new business and 30% account management.
* Develop and execute a sales plan for the segment and territory, including digital platforms, lapsed accounts, prospects and portfolio history; prepare and deliver quotes and technical presentations; maintain required information in CLM and provide timely financial, sales, and forecast reports.
* Ensure all monies are received within agreed payment terms.
* Collaborate with Technical Operations, Applications, Finance and business teams to deliver high‑quality proposals and services.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
* Relevant engineering and sales experience in industrial services or rental business.
* Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Experience in contract negotiation.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Product knowledge preferably in generators or related technical products and market awareness of the rental industry.
* Proven ability to achieve market‑share growth, meet revenue targets and maintain customer satisfaction.
