Job Description Audit Senior Location - Warrington Salary 38-50k per annum Overview We are supporting a well-established accountancy practice in Warrington to recruit an Audit Senior. This role sits within a friendly, high-performing audit team and offers a strong mix of hands-on fieldwork, file completion, and day-to-day client contact. Key Responsibilities Lead audit assignments on-site and remotely, from planning through to completion Prepare and review audit working papers, ensuring files are accurate, well-evidenced, and completed to standard Support audit planning, including risk assessment, materiality, and audit programmes Draft audit findings and contribute to clear, practical points for management letters Liaise directly with clients to request information, resolve queries, and keep work moving to deadlines Supervise and support junior team members, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback Work closely with managers/partners to manage budgets, timelines, and quality across multiple assignments Support wider assurance work where required (for example, reviews and agreed-upon procedures) Skills and Experience Previous external audit experience within an accountancy practice environment Strong understanding of audit methodology and file completion requirements Confident communicator with a professional, client-focused approach Comfortable managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines Experience coaching or reviewing junior colleagues is beneficial Good working knowledge of Excel and audit software Qualifications ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent) What’s On Offer Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Hybrid/flexible working (where available) Study support (if applicable) Clear progression and ongoing professional development Supportive team culture and modern systems Working Pattern Full-time, Monday to Friday Confidentiality All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
