Job Title: Assessor/Trainer – Electrical and/or Mechanical

Salary: £34,222 - £37,825 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Are you experienced in Electrical apprenticeships and passionate about supporting apprentices through their learning journey? We are looking for a dedicated Assessor/Trainer to join our Business Centre team and help guide apprentices from enrolment through to successful completion of their apprenticeship.
Role Overview:
As an Assessor/Trainer, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them with progress reviews, portfolio development, and preparation for End-Point Assessments (EPAs). You will work closely with employers to ensure apprentices gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary for employment success, while ensuring compliance with government funding regulations and quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full apprenticeship cycle from recruitment and sign-up to End-Point Assessment, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
* Support apprentices in developing portfolios and achieving apprenticeship standards.
* Conduct internal quality assurance and liaise with Lead Quality Assurers to maintain assessment standards.
* Facilitate regular apprentice progress reviews, set targets, and implement interventions to support achievement.
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to apprentices to develop work-based skills and behaviours.
* Promote the development of English and maths skills within the workplace context.
* Monitor apprentice wellbeing, ensuring early identification and support for additional learning needs.
* Liaise regularly with employers to secure appropriate workplace opportunities and maintain health and safety standards.
* Contribute to apprenticeship progress meetings and provide updates to management.
* Carry out examination invigilation duties as required.

* Experience in delivering and assessing Electrical apprenticeships.
* Strong knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and government funding regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with apprentices and employers.
* Ability to coach and mentor apprentices to support their development and achievement.
* Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
