Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and caring individual to join our Community Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Service in Buckinghamshire as a Specialist Eating Disorders Dietitian on a part-time 20 hours per week, 12 month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Oxford Health CAMHS is expanding and focused on improving services for children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
Our well-established service aims to deliver high standards of care to young people and their families, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and participation. You would be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team which offers assessment, treatment, and consultation either in the clinic base or out in the community. The team includes a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrist, Family Therapist, Nursing staff, Assistant Psychologists, Dietitian, Business and Performance Manager and team Administrator. We have good links with colleagues in the Buckinghamshire Adult Eating Disorders Services.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality specialist dietetic care to children and young people with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge Eating and Atypical Eating Disorders using effective assessments and evidence-based treatments.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering evidence-based dietetic interventions, with robust assessment and management plans, taking appropriate therapeutic risk.
* Be an active member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering interventions in clinic or community settings, and contributing to high standards of care for the service
* Engage in in-house training in evidence-based interventions and pursue further training based on individual learning needs; participate in regular professional supervision and safeguarding activities.
Qualifications and Skills
* Band 7 clinician with relevant dietetics qualifications and experience in eating disorders
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience with children and young people in CAMHS or eating disorders settings preferred
