The role involves working as part of a process team to ensure the successful operation of the Crush and Refinery departments, working to high safety, quality and efficiency standards. During the apprenticeship, the incumbent will participate in a recognised training programme in Science Manufacturing along with comprehensive on-the-job training. You will learn about the crushing and refining of rape seed and the associated oil and meal products which are then sold to many household brands. You will be exposed to mechanical equipment, automated systems and the chemistry behind the process of providing edible oils to supermarkets, restaurants and takeaways as well as animal feed (meal) to the farming community.
