What is the job role?
We are currently seeking warm, positive, and dedicated individuals to join our Adult Social Care Services team, providing person-centred support to adults with complex needs within Housing with Care.
You will promote independence and personalised approaches in a safe, respectful, and dignified manner, giving people choice and control over the services they use, and ensuring the best outcomes for individuals.
Working alongside our dedicated team, you will provide personal, practical, emotional, and social support to enable individuals to enjoy a high quality of life as valued members of the community.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You need to be physically fit, flexible, patient, and non-judgmental, with excellent communication skills that you can demonstrate and adapt as needed.
We have one permanent post and relief contracts available citywide; all posts are day shifts with fixed hours. You will need to work early mornings, late evenings, and alternate weekends on a rota. Hours are between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS check.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you will:
* Ideally hold a Diploma 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3 in Social Care).
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Be able to work with management to meet Service Users’ needs and support their outcomes.
* Use your initiative and respond flexibly to Service Users' needs, promoting dignity, respect, and choice at all times.
