We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Food Production Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring all products meet our high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily food production activities to ensure compliance with recipes, portioning, and quality standards.
* Enforce and monitor adherence to SALSA, HACCP, and COSHH requirements across all kitchen processes.
* Support the Production Manager in implementing and maintaining SOPs and documentation standards.
* Lead and motivate production staff on shift, fostering a culture of accountability and attention to detail.
* Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely fulfilment of retail and wholesale orders.
* Monitor inventory usage and support efficient stock rotation and waste reduction practices.
* Act as a key point of contact for ensuring safe, clean, and efficient working conditions.
* Provide on-the-job training and performance feedback to team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a food production supervisory or senior kitchen role.
* Familiarity with SALSA, BRC, or other food safety accreditation schemes is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and safe kitchen practices.
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
* Effective communicator and team leader who upholds high standards and leads by example.
* Proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for operational improvements.
