Offer description

Provide housing management and tenancy sustainment support to vulnerable tenants, ensuring safe, compliant accommodation and promoting independence while maintaining tenancy obligations.
Job duties:
1. Manage a caseload of properties and tenants, ensuring tenancies are sustained in line with agreements and company standards.
2. Conduct regular property inspections and risk assessments, ensuring health & safety compliance and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
3. Monitor rent and service charge payments, proactively managing arrears and supporting tenants to maximise income and access benefits.
4. Provide person-centred tenancy support to tenants with complex needs, including mental health, learning and physical disabilities.
5. Work collaboratively with social care providers, local authorities, and external agencies to support tenant wellbeing and tenancy stability.
6. Manage incidents, complaints, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy breaches in line with company policies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
7. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to meet audit and compliance requirements.
8. Support tenant move-ins, move-outs, and void management to ensure properties are maintained and re-let efficiently.
Previous experience
Essential
• Experience in housing, supported living, or similar role
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals (e.g. mental health, learning disabilities)
• Experience managing rent arrears and understanding welfare benefits (e.g. UC, HB, PIP)
• Experience in tenancy or housing management
Desirable
• Experience in intensive housing management or supported accommodation
• Experience liaising with social care professionals and external agencies
Special attributes / skills required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, case management systems)
• Report writing and administrative skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and risk management
