Management Accountant

Six Degrees is delighted to be working with an owner managed business who are industry leaders in their field.
Following continued growth and exciting expansion plans, we are looking for a driven Management Accountant to join our clients finance team at our Carlisle Head Office, reporting directly to the CFO.
This is a hands-on, varied role for an ambitious individual who wants ownership, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business. You will have clear career progression scoped out within the role.
The Role
Working closely with the CFO and management team, responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Ownership of weekly performance reporting
* Managing workflow management of the team
* Providing financial analysis and insight to support management and operations
* Supporting and guiding the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
* Oversight of customer invoicing and self-bill accounts
* Reviewing fixed and recurring costs and raising purchase orders
* Monitoring and chasing debtors to ensure timely cash collection
* Ensuring all sales are invoiced and paid promptly
* Supporting the Proof of Delivery process
* Assisting the CFO with annual budgeting and cash flow forecasting
* Supporting the year-end audit process
* Ensuring timely and accurate payroll completion
* Supporting and managing members of the finance team when required
* Assisting the CFO with projects and ad-hoc tasks
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused finance professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
You will have:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Strong attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Desirable but not essential:
* Sage experience
* Experience within a fast paced environment

Salary & Benefits
* Salary: c. £40,000 – £50,000 dependant on Experience
* 20 days holiday + bank holidays (option to purchase additional days in December & January)
* Working hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday (30-minute lunch)
