The Key Health is proud to partner with respected care providers across the UK—and we’re now recruiting a Registered Manager to lead a warm, therapeutic 3-bed home for children aged 12–15 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the Gillingham, Medway area. This is a permanent opportunity to step into a pivotal role where your expertise, leadership, and passion will shape not only a team—but futures. About the Role: As the Registered Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, lead and inspire your team, and ensure exceptional standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations. You’ll be the heart of the home—building a space that feels like family, fosters growth, and supports healing. ️ Key Responsibilities: * Lead and develop a child-focused team with a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach. * Maintain full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted inspection criteria. * Create personalised care plans tailored to each young person’s emotional and developmental needs. * Handle safeguarding and risk management with care and professionalism. * Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance, and supervision. * Liaise with external professionals, schools, families, and local authorities. * Manage budgets and ensure effective financial oversight. * Drive continuous improvement and a culture of high standards. ✅ What You’ll Need: * Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship) * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or 3 years as Deputy Manager * Deep knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted frameworks * Strong background in safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed practice * Confident leadership and team development skills * Excellent communication and organisational abilities Bonus Skills (Desirable): * Therapeutic or trauma-informed care training * Experience supporting children with CSE, ASD, or complex emotional needs * Full UK Driving Licence Salary & Benefits: * £45,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) * Ongoing support, training, and career progression opportunities * Join a values-led, supportive organisation committed to making a difference Ready to Apply?
