Job title: Personal assistant (PA)

Location: Kidderminster (DY10)
Our client is a 44-year-old female living in the DY10 area of Kidderminster and is seeking a Personal Assistant to provide support with daily living tasks for up to 8 hours per week. The client has Huntington’s disease.
Responsibilities
* Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
* Provide companionship during the day
* Assist and support with managing anxiety and mood changes
* Personal care: Support with all aspects of personal care
* Domestic duties: Preparation of all drinks and meals. Support to eat and drink – following guidelines from SALT Team
Person specification
* Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality & diversity.
* Specific requirements: Someone with previous care & support worker experience. Must have First Aid training as client has a high risk of choking/aspiration when eating/drinking.
* Other: Due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours and pay
* Hours of work: 4 – 8 hours per week + Holiday & sick leave cover
* Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour

* Previous care & support worker experience
