Health and Safety Manager | Liverpool | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours | £35,000 per annum DOE
Spire Liverpool Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Health and Safety Lead.

Reporting to the Hospital Director, as Health and Safety Lead, you will be responsible for supporting line managers to ensure that working practices are established for employees, contractors and volunteers who visit or work at the facility do so in a safe and healthy environment in accordance to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of the Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 are complied with.
Contract type: Permanent, Full-time
Working hours: Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Providing support for the operational management of health, safety and risk and all related systems and initiatives for the hospital with the aim of ensuring the provision of high quality and safe care and services at all times
2. Assisting the Operations Director /Facilities Manager to coordinate the implementation and delivery of the Spire Healthcare Health & Safety and Risk Strategies at the facility
Who we're looking for:
3. Higher National Diploma
4. IOSH Managing Safely / IOSH Working Safely course
5. NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
6. Previous experience working in the healthcare industry or a similar customer orientated organisation
7. Track record of successful people and process management, ideally in a multi-functional environment
8. Understanding of Health & Safety and risk issues and legislation in a healthcare organisation
9. Competent user of the MS Office suite of products in order to meet the requirements of the role
10. Ability to understand and manage effectively the impact of competing pressures and conflicting priorities
11. Proactive and self-motivated
