Responsibilities
* Infrastructure Management & Optimization
* Manage and maintain server environments (Windows/Linux) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
* Oversee hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration between on‑premises hardware and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
* Optimize system performance through regular auditing, patching, and resource allocation.
* Network & Security Administration:
o Administer core networking components, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
o Implement and monitor comprehensive security protocols, including endpoint protection, identity management (IAM), and encryption.
o Lead incident response efforts and conduct root‑cause analysis for any major system or network outages.
* Client Consultation & Technical Leadership:
o Act as a senior technical advisor for clients, helping them plan infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation projects.
o Serve as the final escalation point for Tier 3 technical support issues.
o Mentor and provide guidance to junior system administrators and help desk staff.
* Backup, Recovery & Compliance:
o Design and manage robust backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies to guarantee data integrity and business continuity.
o Ensure client systems meet industry‑specific compliance standards (such as SOC2, HIPAA, or PIPEDA in the Canadian context).
Skills/Must have
* 10+ Years in systems Administration.
* Extensive experience across Azure (including integrating with legacy systems), AWS, M365.
* Exceptional communication skills (client facing) are a must.
