About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sustainability / Energy & Building Performance Consultant to join a dynamic and growing London based team. This role is ideal for someone with a technical foundation in energy and sustainability, and who is looking to grow within a collaborative environment with mentoring from experienced professionals.
As a Junior Consultant, you will support a range of projects with a focus on building performance analysis and sustainability assessments. Youll gain exposure to diverse sectors perhaps a particular interest in data centres? You would contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge, low-carbon design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of energy and sustainability statements for planning applications
Conduct dynamic thermal modelling using IES VE to assess building performance
Evaluate designs for compliance with Part L, TM52, and TM54
Analyze daylighting and overheating risks in line with current guidance
Support project teams with modelling, analysis, and reporting tasks
Keep up to date with current regulations and best practices in building performance and environmental design
Requirements
Proficient in IES VE for building performance modelling
Good understanding of UK compliance standards including Part L, TM52, and TM54
Familiarity with daylighting assessments and overheating analysis
Experience producing energy and sustainability statements
Knowledge of UK building regulations and planning requirements
Minimum 612 months professional experience in a similar role within the UK
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and develop professionally
Desirable
Experience working on data centre projects
Relevant degree in environmental design, building services engineering, or related field
Interest in low-carbon technologies and sustainable design innovation
