Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager moving to Cardiff, to oversee daily operations in a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
* Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of staff including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas
* Organise staff schedules, assign duties, and monitor performance to foster a productive working environment
* Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure excellent customer satisfaction
* Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and oversee inventory control
* Assist in training new staff members in food safety procedures and service standards
* Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maintain quality ingredients and equipment
Experience
* Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
* Background in food safety management and adherence to health regulations
* Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example and inspire staff
* Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is advantageous
* Familiarity with culinary practices including food preparation and serving techniques
* Previous barista experience or knowledge of beverage service is beneficial but not essential
* Leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
