Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Ecologist or Ecologist with experience in ornithological surveys and report production, or an applicant with a strong interest in ornithology and aptitude in visual and audible bird identification.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Specialism in Ornithology, with experience in scoping, breeding, and non-breeding bird surveys.
2. A degree in Ecology or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
3. Full, clean driving license with business use coverage and access to personal transport.
4. CIEEM Membership (minimum Qualifying, dependent on the role).
5. Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS or QFIELD (desirable).
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent written and communication skills.
8. Flexibility for irregular hours and travel to meet business needs.
9. Good organizational skills, proactive attitude, and high motivation.
