Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Are you a positive and motivated person who is interested in supporting vulnerable adults to live the best lives possible?
Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported?
If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!
In our Aberdeenshire CLP service, we support over 10 individuals within the region who have a wide range of individual support needs. We provide the support they need to live as independently as possible in their own homes, which may be within sheltered housing accommodation, in their own tenancy or living with family members. The individuals you'll be supporting range widely in age and enjoy lots of great activities, so we're looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals.
Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with:
* Medication administration
* Accessing day services e.g. college and work placements
* Personal care
* Arranging and attending appointments or meetings
* Cooking and home maintenance
* Social support and support to achieve personal goals
* Managing the finances and budget of the people we support
Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday. Our shift times vary but generally fall between 8am - 10pm (though most shifts are between 3pm and 10pm) and no overnight support is required as part of this role.
We are currently recruiting for bank Support Workers and you don't need to hold a UK driving license for this role.
The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!
We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships.
