Overview
Procurement Manager position based near Brighton, East Sussex. Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience). Term: Permanent. SRG are working with a well-respected, global company that specializes in the creation of speciality chemicals for several markets. They are undergoing an exciting growth journey and are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead a small purchasing team and drive procurement optimisation projects within the business.
Benefits include: discretionary bonus scheme, Christmas shutdown period, company pension, 37.5 hours per week with an early finish on Friday.
Responsibilities
* Lead a small purchasing team internally
* Carry out training, development and performance reviews of the team
* Understand current purchasing and stock management processes
* Identify areas for improvement to increase efficiencies
* Use the internal ERP system to its full potential
* Manage the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicals
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers
* Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliers
* Liaise with multiple departments in the business including Logistics and Sales
Requirements
* Recent CIPS qualification
* Proven recent experience as a Procurement Manager, ideally in a technical manufacturing environment but not essential
* On-site availability near Brighton 5 days a week
* Proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional service
* Willingness to implement positive change and process improvements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
