My client is seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead on complex adult social care matters, drive service transformation, and elevate legal practise through strategic leadership and collaboration.
Role Overview:
* Provide legal advice and representation on complex cases within the designated legal team.
* Deputise for the Head of Legal and assist in managing the legal team.
* Work collaboratively with the Law and Governance Service to deliver high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer specialist legal advice to senior officers, departments, and service areas.
* Lead service improvement and transformation efforts within the legal team.
* Identify legislative updates and deliver related training.
* Promote a commercial approach to legal services and explore income generation opportunities.
* Assist in policy and report preparation to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
* Promote inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and a positive work environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Legal qualification (Solicitor or equivalent).
* Experience advising on complex legal matters.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Proficient in Office 365 tools.
* Leadership experience or potential to manage a legal team.
