Job Opportunity: Learning Support Care Assistant (LSCA)
Located in rural Godstone, Surrey, the role is ideally suited for a driver due to location.
LSCAs will support students in achieving their personal developmental goals across various settings throughout the week. The position follows a two-week rota of early and late shifts, working 44 weeks of the year, with holidays outside term times. Flexibility may be required for night shifts.
Minimum Experience and Skills
* Minimum two years’ experience working with young people or adults with severe, complex, and moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities or behavioral needs.
* Experience supporting learners with personal hygiene and intimate care in a respectful and dignified manner.
* Ability to support learners with out-of-session work and provide evidence for their education program.
Employment Details
35 hours per week / 44 weeks per year. Permanent, part-time, and bank roles are considered. Please indicate your preference in your application.
Shift patterns include early (07:00 – 15:00), day (09:00 – 17:00), and late (14:30 – 22:30), with some weekend work. Night shift coverage flexibility is required.
Note: This is a term-time-only contract for 44 weeks a year, including 38 term weeks and 6 weeks for admin, rehearsals, and training, to be worked as required.

Preferred Experience
Experience in further education with young adults with disabilities is desirable.
Physical Fitness Requirement
All staff must be physically fit to support learners with complex needs, including personal care and manual handling.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Proficiency in Maths, English, and ICT
* Minimum two years’ experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or behavioral needs
* Understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities
* Willingness to engage in professional development
* Good computer and administrative skills
* Innovative, creative, caring, patient, and humorous attitude
* Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues, learners, and families
