Behaviour Mentor Location: Ashford
Start Date: October
Salary: £88–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Ashford. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
1. Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs), autism, ADHD, and other learning differences.
2. Use de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour management strategies to support pupils effectively.
3. Help pupils develop resilience, confidence, and coping strategies.
4. Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
5. Be a positive role model, building trusting relationships with pupils.

Requirements
To be considered for the Behaviour Mentor role, you will need to:
6. Have experience working with children or young people with additional needs (professional, voluntary, or personal).
7. Be resilient, patient, and passionate about supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
8. Be able to build strong relationships quickly and maintain clear boundaries.
9. Have (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
