What the role involves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
You’ll support pupils in lessons, help teachers with classroom tasks and assist learners who need additional guidance. This role gives you valuable experience if you’re considering a future in teaching or a pupil-focused profession.
Daily responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
1. Working with pupils 1:1 and in small groups
2. Supporting teachers with resources, planning and behaviour routines
3. Helping pupils stay engaged and motivated
4. Encouraging positive behaviour and clear expectations
5. Building your confidence and skills through hands-on experience
You’ll be a great fit as a Graduate Teaching Assistant if you have
6. A degree in any subject
7. An interest in education, psychology or youth support
8. Good communication and a patient approach
9. The ability to work as part of a team
10. An enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
