What We're Looking For: Your Essential Toolkit To excel in this impactful role, you will possess: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent, recognised teaching qualification. Demonstrable experience or a strong, evidenced interest in working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Previous experience within an SEMH or SEND setting is highly advantageous. A deep understanding of SEMH needs and a proven ability to implement effective strategies to support pupils with complex behaviours and emotional challenges. Exceptional classroom management skills with a calm, patient, and empathetic approach, alongside the resilience to navigate challenging situations positively. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong rapport with pupils, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and engage constructively with parents and external agencies. A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual learning styles and needs, ensuring every pupil can access the curriculum.
