This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site.
As the Maintenance Engineering Manager you will have the responsibility to be the driving force behind a high performing, multidisciplinary engineering team. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries.

* Lead, coach, and develop a high performing maintenance team.
* Set clear priorities that align with production, maintenance, and safety goals.
* Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee root cause analysis and long term corrective actions to boost equipment reliability.
* Improve asset performance by partnering closely with maintenance and ensuring strong engineering standards.
* Optimise processes to enhance throughput, yield, energy efficiency, and product quality.
* Use data to identify bottlenecks and implement effective, lasting solutions.
* Lead capital projects, including equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and commissioning activities.
* Champion a strong safety culture and support risk assessments, HAZOPs, and compliance initiatives.
* Collaborate cross functionally, advising leadership on equipment condition, risks, and long term planning.
About you:
* You will have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
* You will have experience in a heavy industry environment
* Proven leadership of engineering or technical teams.
* Strong knowledge of industrial equipment (furnaces, mills, casting lines, cranes, hydraulics, automation).
* Experience in project management and continuous improvement.
