Our client, Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking a seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major substation civils project in Friston. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a critical infrastructure project, ensuring commercial success and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the project, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
* Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.
* Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Provide strategic input on risk management and value engineering.
* Collaborate closely with project teams to maintain financial performance and contractual compliance.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
