What you'll be doing
You'll spend most of your week delivering high-quality clinical care to patients presenting with minor illness, while dedicating protected time to developing your minor injury competencies through structured training, supervision and in-practice learning.
As part of your development, you will gain experience in:
Assessing, investigating and diagnosing minor illness and minor injury
Interpreting X-rays and point-of-care tests
Independent prescribing for acute presentations
Identifying and managing emergencies
Supporting and developing colleagues, trainees and the wider team
You'll work within a highly skilled, multi-professional environment with access to outstanding support, including GPs, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Reporting Radiographers and Advanced Practitioners. Upon completion of the competency portfolio, you will progress into a fully autonomous Urgent Care Practitioner role.
What we'll look for in you
You'll be a registered nurse or paramedic with strong primary or urgent care experience and an independent prescriber, with a passion for delivering safe, effective and compassionate patient care.
