We’re looking for an experienced and committed Course Leader & Lecturer in Electrical Installation (Apprenticeships) to join our team. This is a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching, guiding apprentices through their qualification, and leading the successful management of electrical apprenticeship programmes.
You’ll develop engaging learning materials, deliver outstanding lessons up to Level 3, and ensure every learner has the support they need to succeed. Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you’ll take the lead in planning, coordinating and improving apprenticeship provision.

What you’ll be doing
Teaching & Learning
* Prepare and deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of electrical installation programmes.
* Provide classroom, workshop and tutorial support, ensuring learners progress and succeed.
* Contribute to curriculum development, course planning and evaluation.
Course Leadership
* Lead and manage electrical apprenticeship programmes, ensuring compliance with standards and effective programme delivery.
* Coordinate assessments, reviews and employer liaison, maintaining accurate records.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams, employers and external partners.
Learner Support
* Provide pastoral support, academic guidance and effective tutorials.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and safe working practices across all activities.
Professional Duties
* Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge.
* Participate in marketing activities, employer engagement and events such as parents’ evenings.
* Support new staff through mentoring as required.

What we’re looking for
Essential
* Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
* Time‑served electrical installation apprenticeship with at least 2 years’ relevant industry experience.
* Strong subject knowledge and excellent practical skills in electrical installation up to Level 3.
* Effective communication skills, strong organisation and solid administrative ability.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and safe working practices.
* Teaching qualification — or willingness to achieve one within an agreed timescale.
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or willingness to work towards them.
Desirable
* Assessor/Verifier awards (A1/V1) or willingness to work towards them.
* Level 4+ subject specialist qualification.
* Experience teaching City & Guilds programmes, including 3‑phase systems.
* Experience in course leadership and working with employers or external agencies.
* Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and delivery models.
