Responsibilities
* Utilise Linux skills to troubleshoot, innovate fixes and workarounds, keep software up-to-date and provide data and metrics that help manage the capacity and efficiency of our services.
* Draw on networking knowledge to identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
* Communicate clearly and collaborate with others to deliver results.
* Be a self-starter, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change.
* Be customer-obsessed, always looking to understand customer pain points and find resolutions quickly and completely.
* Work proactively to solve potential problems and inefficiencies.
* Communicate clearly and collaborate with others to deliver results with supervision.
* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to troubleshoot high severity issues.
* Work within the team in analysing dashboards and investigating metrics with the help of engineers in the team.
* Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for documentation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Linux system administration and good troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host.
* Experience of systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc.
* Experience of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
