The difference you will make as an Internal Communications Assistant To support the Corporate Communications & Marketing team in delivery of internal communications activities and campaigns, supporting our objectives and ensuring that our colleagues receive accurate, timely and transparent communications. You will also help manage purchasing and financial reconciliation tasks as well as help to maintain the team’s digital asset management system About you We are looking for someone who Experience in a PR, communications or news-writing role Impeccable spelling, grammar and news-writing ability is an essential requirement Why Riverside? Role Profile • Support the Head of Corporate Communications & Marketing to organise team meetings and support the team in travel arrangements when required. • Support the internal communications team with day-to-day activities including sourcing, designing and drafting communications for our colleague newsletter. • Supporting internal communications campaign activities. • Supporting internal corporate events – for example during days we want to celebrate as an organisation. • Work closely with people services to ensure that timely and accurate information about colleague welfare is delivered. • Support the internal communications team with delivering Stream, our all-colleague quarterly town hall event. • Help to manage our internal colleague engagement platform and our intranet. • Support the team in the commissioning of photography for Riverside use and the sourcing of generic images from online photo libraries and photographers. • Support activities, engagement and events around the delivery our Corporate Strategy engagement. • Support the delivery and implementation of our new brand and TOV guidelines across the organisation. • Proof reading communications to our high standards and in-line with our brand guidelines. • Support the rollout and implementation of the brand and TOV guidelines. • Support consultation delivery of our Corporate Strategy. • Support with ad hoc projects and activities as required. Ways of Working • Work with colleagues across the wider Strategy and Communications directorate to develop a positive culture of support and collaboration, contributing proactively to team meetings and events. • Ensure that all information security requirements, including data protection, are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements. • Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements. • Ensure that all work is undertaken in a way which supports and promotes Riverside’s Values, and reinforces The Group’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. Person specification Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Experience in a PR, communications or news-writing role Impeccable spelling, grammar and news-writing ability is an essential requirement. Some specialist knowledge/skill in Internal Communications Excellent up to date IT skills, relevant to the role Strong commitment to customer service Desirable CIPR or CIM Advanced Certificate, or equivalent, with additional internal communications qualifications strongly preferred Understanding of social media and the ability to manage social media services.
