The Arts Club is seeking dynamic and dedicated Shift Engineers to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the smooth running of the Club in its daily operations. They will also need to identify areas for improvement within the Club, including general upkeep, fixing issues, upgrading equipment and facilities, and monitoring heating and lighting. The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias along with knowledge of plumbing and gas systems.
Main Responsibilities:
* Achieve high operating standards consistent with the club's values and objectives.
* Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary.
* Support the Chief Engineer and other Shift Engineers in managing stock to ensure the Club has the necessary resources for effective operation.
* Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
* Paint and repair roofs, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other structural parts of the building.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation at all times.
* Update departmental risk assessments in accordance with changes to operating procedures and legal requirements.
* Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
