Regional Director – Soft Services (cleaning)
£60,000–£65,000 + Car + Benefits | North of England (Ideal: Yorkshire / M1 Corridor)
A leading national facilities services provider is seeking a Regional Director to take ownership of a major northern portfolio worth c. £12m. This is a key leadership role overseeing several high‑profile rail‑sector contracts and a team of field‑based managers.
The Role
You’ll lead three established contracts across transport and public‑facing environments, each requiring a slightly different touch — from relationship‑building to commercial uplift to hands‑on operational support.
You’ll work closely with a senior regional leader and act as their key partner across a wide geographical patch.
Key Responsibilities
* Full regional P&L ownership, driving performance, standards and profitability
* Leadership and development of Account Managers and Regional Managers
* Senior‑level customer relationship management and issue resolution
* Operational delivery, audits, compliance, H&S and risk management
* Identifying efficiencies, improvements and new opportunities
* Ensuring all HR, training, induction and vetting processes are delivered correctly
* Regular reporting, business reviews and field accompaniment
What You’ll Bring
* Strong background in soft services (cleaning essential)
* Experience managing managers across multi‑site operations
* Rail sector understanding helpful
* Commercially sharp, proactive and solutions‑focused
* A natural people leader who drives culture and high standards
* NEBOSH or strong H&S knowledge advantageous
