This role will be within our SITRAIN UK business unit based at our HQ in Manchester. It offers a varied and fantastic opportunity to join a successful training solutions business for Siemens globally, supporting automation learning needs of our customers and staff. This position has arisen to support the growth of this business in meeting the global skills challenge. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, evolving 'skills business' that sells and delivers high-quality learning solutions and offers opportunities to be involved in new training projects.
We are seeking an experienced engineering professional (from industry or academia) eager to help our customers optimize our portfolio of automation products through our training courses. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and deliver training courses on Siemens industrial automation products and solutions, either face-to-face or remotely, at the Industry Training Centre in Manchester or at customer sites across the UK.
* Proactively identify additional customer training needs and develop appropriate training solutions.
* Deliver both standard and customized training programs, including negotiation, design, and presentation.
* Travel throughout the UK for sales support visits, skills gap analysis, and training delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
* Education to HNC/HND/Degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
* Practical experience with industrial automation systems in manufacturing industries, including programming, commissioning, or servicing.
* Experience areas such as PLCs, industrial networking, HMI, SCADA, Process Control, Robotics, CNC, and Drives are desirable.
* Previous formal training experience is preferred, but enthusiasm and ability to deliver quality training are key.
* Self-motivated with initiative, responsibility, and commercial awareness.
* Experience in skills analysis and customer liaison for training solutions is advantageous.
