About the Role
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support their on‑site nursery provision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education, who enjoys supporting children aged 3-4 in a safe, creative, and nurturing environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the nursery team to deliver engaging activities, support learning through play, and help promote a positive early years experience for all children.
Responsibilities
1. Supporting children in their daily routines, play, and early learning activities
2. Assisting nursery staff with planned lessons and free‑flow learning
3. Creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment
4. Supporting with personal care routines where required
5. Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
6. Communicating effectively with staff and pupils
7. Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are always met
Requirements
8. Experience working with children (early years experience desirable but not essential)
9. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
12. Right to work in the UK
