Salary and Contract
AfC Band 4 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,679.10 per annum (pro rata) and a High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance of £4,030.01 per annum (pro rata)

Post Description
The opportunity has arisen for 2 Rehabilitation Instructors primarily based in the Craft and Design Centre. The individuals will work as part of a team, providing patient care and activity primarily in Arts & Crafts within a busy activity centre. Responsibilities include planning and implementing patients’ programmes, engaging patients in art and creative activities to enhance skills and provide therapeutic benefits. Candidates should have core skills and knowledge in arts and crafts, with practical experience in delivering these in a therapeutic or training environment.
Additionally, there are 2 Rehabilitation Instructor positions as Activity staff, providing therapeutic activities across wards, hubs, grounds, and the Skye Centre. These roles involve working closely with nursing staff to develop activity programmes for patients in early stages of illness, requiring self-motivation, compassion, and confidence engaging with patients across various locations.
Work Environment
The Skye Centre offers a range of therapeutic, recreational, social, vocational, educational, and health services. You will collaborate with nursing and clinical teams, working independently and with patients to deliver high-quality care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring a safe environment.
Experience and Qualifications
Crafts: Relevant experience or qualification in arts and crafts.
Activity: Relevant experience or SVQ in activity facilitation.
Experience working in NHS or Third Sector environments, leading groups, and motivating patients is essential.
