Assistant Compliance Advisor
CCG is one of Scotland’s largest construction and manufacturing groups, and our specialist Technical Department is seeking a new Assistant Compliance Advisor to join their team at our Cambuslang HQ.
CCG Technical is a diverse multi-disciplined team of nine, who integrate with CCG’s eight in-house divisions to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements, while their best practice guidance on costs, programming, buildability, and sustainability is designed to create added value and drive efficiencies throughout the life cycle of each project.
SALARY: DOE
HOURS: Full time, 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4.00pm Friday. Core flexible hours available.
LOCATION: CCG Hub, 9 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB. This is an office-based role.

THE ROLE
The role is essential to ensuring that all site work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will work closely with site teams, designers, and technical staff to review workmanship, assess compliance with specifications, and provide practical guidance to support project delivery across various design stages and a broad spectrum of projects.
The key roles’ responsibilities would be developing and working with the Senior Compliance Manager and the Technical Department to:
1. Enhance CCG company quality procedures, standards and specifications.
2. Coordinate activity to meet quality standards.
3. Conduct site inspections and conformity audits/reports.
4. Identify defects, non-conformances, and areas for improvement, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
5. Provide technical advice and support to site teams, subcontractors and project managers.
6. Write management and technical reports.
7. Monitor and evaluate compliance across CCG’s projects and develop good practice Technical Bulletins.
8. Report to Senior Compliance Manager on Quality Standards.
9. Ensure continuous improvement in quality and conformance.
10. Prevention of defective design and onsite defects.
SKILLS
11. Background in Construction Quality Inspector/Clerk of Works/Structural Warranty Surveyor.
12. Background in construction, technical inspection, site management or quality assurance.
13. Student completing a degree in construction-related compliance/building surveying.
14. Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations and industry standards.
15. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and design details.
16. Quality planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control.
17. Highly diligent with excellent attention to detail.
18. Excellent verbal and written communication with good interpersonal skills.
19. Technical knowledge/expertise/good knowledge in construction.
20. IT skills/Microsoft Project
21. Attention to detail and presentation.
22. Work under tight deadlines.
23. Full UK driving licence.
