Senior Research Nurse
Haematology Clinical Trials
Applications are invited for a full‑time research nurse to support the Haematology Research Team within the Scottish Cancer Research Network. Base: SE Scottish Cancer Research Network, Department of Haematology, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. Maternity Cover: Fixed Term 12 Months. Part‑time hours will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Recruit, care and treat patients involved in a variety of clinical trials.
* Work independently interpreting protocols and caring for this patient group.
* Collaborate with research nurses, clinicians, data managers and the multidisciplinary team throughout the SCAN region.
* Attend and provide input at multidisciplinary meetings and clinics.
* Occasional travel to study meetings or other hospitals in the region may be required.
Qualifications
* Experience in clinical research and a related specialty.
* Education to degree level (or working towards).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of the research process including ICH/GCP guidelines.
* Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development.
* Attention to detail and IT skills advantageous.
* Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to an ever‑changing working environment.
