Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Technician based at University Hospital Crosshouse .
What you will do:
An opportunity has arisen in the East Sector Estates Department for a suitably experienced Electrical Technician.
Having gained a recognised apprenticeship and with extensive experience in this field you will form part of a team of electrical technicians reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor, responsible for the delivery and maintenance of electrical engineering services within an acute hospital environment and across community premises.
You should be able to demonstrate versatility and experience on a range of complex electrical engineering maintenance work task schedules in addition to being an effective communicator.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* A City & Guilds Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering and Level 3 Certificate in 18th Edition of IEE Regulations, or equivalent for the trade are essential.
* Experience in maintaining building services within a hospital environment including Fire Alarm systems, Emergency lighting, Low Voltage (LV) infrastructure, Lifts, Building Management Systems is desirable and would be an advantage.
* You will also be required to take part in an on call rota and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service.
* Due to the requirement to participate in an on call rota it is desirable that the successful applicant should live no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the hospital.

Hours:
37 hours per week (8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm Friday)
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
