Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an extremely supportive and experienced SEN cohort, working in collaboration with the class teacher/SENCO and teaching assistants to support the education, development and well-being of all pupils within a designated SEMH provision. You will take a pupil-centred approach to their education as to ensure that the needs of each pupils re not only met, but also at the heart of all operations. You will:
* Implement an array of positive behaviour strategies
* Build strong constructive relationships with pupils
* Deliver comprehensive interventions i.e., ELSA, well-being and behavioural
* Use trauma-informed strategies
What you need to succeed
* Full “Right to Work” in the UK
* Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
* Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children with behavioural/SEMH needs
* Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
