Role Description
This is a part-time on-site Science Teacher role based in Middlesbrough. The Science Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to students in small groups (up to 6–8 pupils) or one-to-one settings. This includes assessing students' learning needs, addressing gaps in knowledge, fostering confidence, and preparing students for exams in Science and related subjects. Collaboration with other educators and contributing to the structured core curriculum in Science are essential parts of this role.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Science Education, with subject knowledge in Physics and Mathematics
Qualified Teacher status with proven experience teaching at the primary and/or secondary level
Competency in Lesson Planning and delivering creative, engaging teaching sessions
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, especially for SEND learners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate students
Experience in small-group or one-to-one tuition is an advantage
